Ocean Pacific Adventure Sports, was originally established in 1966 from Wilfred Rimmer, who is survived by his son, Pat Rimmer.
We Provide instruction in: Snorkeling, Recreational scuba diving, Rescue diving, Deep diving, Underwater navigation, Night diving, Current diving, Equipment maintenance/servicing/repair, Underwater Photography, Relocation and Recovery, Nitrox diving, Altitude diving, Perfect buoyancy, Multilevel diving, Drysuit Training, Emergency first response training, Emergency oxygen provider training, Boat licensing, Equipment rentals, Paddle board rentals, Dive computer and regulator servicing+Calibration, Avalanche control device refills, Boat diving, Anchor installs, Anchor chain install/inspection, Buoy install/inspection, Dock repair, Dock cable inspection/install, Underwater ROV inspection, Water intake servicing installs/repairs/inspections for residential & commercial businesses, Any restricted scuba commercial diving services. We also provide medical/industrial grade oxygen for first responders, utilities, oil & gas, safety & hazardous materials workers. We provide classes for Juniper ridge schools, Barriere Schools, Merritt schools, Brock schools, At risk youth program classes, Special needs scuba classes, classes for Scouts, Indigenous youth groups scuba classes for Merritt, Adams lake and shuswap Indian bands. As well as supporting & sponsoring a number of local city events with the city of kamloops, including sun peaks resort. Including participating in the TRU adventure tourism mentorship programs. Plus, supporting conservation advocacy programs, and natural resource protections programs, including supporting marine tracking projects of invasive species in the local watersheds. We are members of TOTA, Destination BC, Sustainable tourism 2030, CADC, CFIB, Kamloops chamber of commerce, BC groundwater association, Tourism industry association of BC, Kamloops tourism. And supporters of the Okanagan collaborative conservation program, UNESCO, Secwepmc Fisheries Commission, Oceans and Fisheries, Coast guard, Rocky mountain rangers, RCMP, Kamloops Fire dept, St. john's ambulance, Clearwater search and rescue.
