Working in partnership with heads and senior managers in academic and administrative departments, the Safety Advisor, Scientific Diving is responsible for the promotion and implementation of a comprehensive risk-based oversight program for University field research activities, and in particular scientific diving operations in compliance with the WorkSafe BC regulations. In this role, the incumbent is responsible for strategic and operational planning activities, implementing and utilizing performance measurement activities, developing training programs, policies and guidelines related to dive safety.
